Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin staged a little press conference to call out the hypocrisy of the NFL…and holy crap it was a doozy.
Can’t wait to see how the No Fun League responds to getting their shit called out in such a big way.

Wow. What a video.
Here’s to Dwyane Wade, #HeatLifer

The Miami Heat did the impossible…they just made me super psyched for the 2014-2015 season. Zo narrating would have been enough on it’s own, but this HEAT Nation film captures everything we Heat Lifers tell ourselves in the morning…
We are the hardest working, best conditioned, most professional, most unselfish, toughest, meanest, most disliked team in the NBA…and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
There’s no denying this season feels different; both different and re-affirming at the same time. A team is more than one player, no matter who that player is. This is Heat Nation.
4 straight Finals. 3 Rings in the last decade.
Bring on the season.

With the NFL mired in “controversy” and trying to combat the perception of a League of Criminals, SNL showed us what “honest” player intros would be like.

Ray Lucas. Cleo Lemon. Daunte Culpepper. Pat White. John Beck. Chad Henne. Case closed.
Oh, then there’s also the thing about how Joe Robbie built JRS on an ancient Tequesta burial site. Fuck.

My first report as correspondent for 4TT News: “Defending” Dan Snyder and presenting the pro-Redskins argument in all of its totally-not-racist glory.
Not exactly the most Politically Correct presentation.
But some food for thought for those that doubt the continuing harm to Native Americans in our country:
Native Americans rank Worst in the US: Poverty Rate, Unemployment Rate, Rate of Disease, Rate of Substance Abuse, Death Rates, Uninsured Rates (Wikipedia)
And or those of you that feel bad for the Snyder and the Redskins for having to shoulder the cost of re-branding, consider this:
Snyder’s Redskins are the 3rd most valuable NFL team ($1.7billion), annual revenue around $373 million, with a yearly operating income over $104 million (Forbes)
But hey, it’s football, and nothing in America outranks the NFL – even if it glorifies systematic genocide. Man, if only it was all caught on an elevator security camera – then maybe people would be outraged.

Heat lifer and legend, Alonzo Mourning, was inducted into the Hall of Fame this weekend, capping a career which a gracious Zo recognized was improbable given what life has thrown at him.
Watch Zo’s acceptance speech (and his career highlights) if for some reason you need to be reminded why Mourning is revered in Miami and by everyone whose life he’s touched.
Congrats Zo, and thanks.

As my friends know, Alonzo Mourning is one of my favorite athletes of all time. As Zo gets ready for his NBA Hall of Fame induction on Saturday, here is a vid of some of the Heat legendary Center’s greatest blocks.
Here’s to Zo, the man who almost single handedly changed the culture of the Miami Heat on the floor, and the club’s first real Hall of Famer.
