Prison Break: Abu Ghraib
What I want out of each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in this desert.
Al Qaeda Iraq attacked Abu Ghraib prison, killing at least 25 security forces and releasing at least 500 detainees. Luckily, there were no dangerous inmates as Abu Ghraib was mainly used for DUIs and playground flashers…oh wait, I meant accused terrorists and senior Al Qaeda members.
This was no Raquel Welch poster escape:
“Suicide bombers drove cars with explosives into the gates of the prison on the outskirts of Baghdad on Sunday night, while gunmen attacked guards with mortar fire as well as rocket propelled grenades,” Russia Today reports, adding that additional assailants wearing suicide vests entered the prison to help convicts make their escape…A simultaneous attack, a hallmark of Al Qaeda strategy, took place at a prison [Taji] 12 miles north of Baghdad…
Not only does this suck for Iraqi peace (Mission Accomplished!) but Syria is just a hop, skip and a camel ride across the border – and that place doesn’t exactly need more virgin-loving vest-wearers. Kathryn Bigelow is already in talks to direct the movie, starring Wentworth Miller and Morgan Freeman.
