The Story of Corporate Influence (Video)

The Story of Stuff Project is a pretty amazing thing. They make a number of videos to help clear the air and teach what’s important.

One such video is The Story of Citizens United v FEC, which looks into corporate influence on elections and our government. For those of you that don’t know, Citizens United v FEC is a Supreme Court ruling that says Corporations are people with inalienable rights to free speech, etc.; as such they should be allowed to spend and donate freely in regards to lobbying and elections.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that bottomless coffers make it real easy for large corporations to buy influence and manipulate the system. Now its time to make sure the little people are protected from the big corporate people. Not all corporations are evil, only the evil ones are. And its those corps that are most responsible for the way we see and hear the world today.

This video is a must watch for any Hornball…
